Long days and pleasant nights...

This blog is a collection of exactly what it sounds like -- situations and scenarios encountered only by fans of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. The "problems" part is in the vein of other, similar submission-based blogs, but of course... do we really regard these situations as true problems...?

I didn't think so.

This blog cannot exist without input from you. If you have a 'problem', please do offer it as a text string through either the submit function or the ask function. (If one similar enough exists, I will post the link for it so you can reblog that one instead.)

About the Junkie
I was in the middle of the fourth book when I began this blog, and now I've seen the inside of the Tower for myself. It still unnerves me that after all this time, I have seen the end, but I know it is only a literary end -- the journey goes on as long as I draw breath, and as long as the words "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed" still bear their immense weight.
I walk beside you all.

{ apologies regarding the double answer to anon’s question, which must have been confusing (or at least amusing). apparently, i have lurking mods. }

Anonymous whispered, "What is the proper response to Thankee Sai"

‘you’re welcome’ serves as an acceptable enough response, i assume! i don’t recall seeing anything different, although followers are welcome to chime in if they have. :>

{ yes, junkies, i’m still here. apologies for the blog being inactive; after the last rash of submissions dried up, i just let it go. }

It’s “you’re welcome” or “welcome,” Sai Anon (so far as we know).  Unless you want to get into rounds and rounds of “thankee sai,” “no, thankee sai,” “no, thankee sai,” “no…thankee sai…” but like as not everyone would get wearied of that in a hurry.
And thankee-sai, anonymous.

loneseeker1990 whispered, "There seemed to be some confusion about the comics. Allow me to help clear things up. The first 5 collections of comics started with a retelling of the back story told in Wizard in Glass and continued on with new material leading up until the fall of Gilead. The 6th collection is a story that occurs between the fall of Gilead and the events that occurred in Little Sisters Eluria. The 7th collection is a retelling of LSE and the last 3 collections were the first book in comic form."

greeneggsandcham whispered, "I haven't read all of the comics yet, but they do start in chronological order, beginning with Roland's youth, which is quite some time before the modern ka-tet. Eddie, Susannah, Jake, & Oy appear later on."

indeed. i suppose we shall just hope the comics continue to be published, yes?

vulpana whispered, "Please let me apologize for my submission. I read an article that the DT comics were being cancelled. I thought I bookmarked it, but now I cannot find it for reference. Please remove my submission if is causing confusion. This ka-mai cries the pardon of all!"

ah, i see.
i’ll keep it up for now, since it doesn’t seem to be terribly controversial.

thankee for submitting, always. :>

zillypill whispered, "As far as I know, the comics were originally supposed to fill in the story between Roland's youth (i.e. Susan, the Grapefruit, etc.) and the start of the books. That purpose might have changed in the interveneing years, but that was the original intent."
